Stars tell Giffoni FF teen sitcom Alex & Co to air abroad

(ANSA) - Salerno, July 20 - Italian teen sitcom Alex & Co is to air on Disney Channel throughout Europe as of October, the series' stars said Monday at the Giffoni Film Festival.
    The series about five friends facing the first year of high school stars teen thespians Leonardo Cecchi in the title role, Eleonora Gaggero, Saul Nanni, Federico Russo, and Beatrice Vendramin.
    "The characters are all kids that study and work very hard," said Debora Villa, who plays the school janitor.
    "It's important to send the message that success...takes toil and sweat".
    "Our fans see us as idols," said Cecchi and Russo. "We feel a strong responsibility towards them".
