(ANSA) - Rome, July 17 - The Italian state "clergy fund" that disburses pensions to 13,788 former priests is "constantly in deficit", in the red from 2012-2015 for a total of between 56 and 115 million euros and with a capital deficit of more than 2.2 billion euros in 2015, said Italian tax agency INPS on Friday.
The "Open Doors" report by the agency said 72% of clergy fund pensioners also have a second retirement fund.
The clergy fund wasn't affected by the controversial 2011 Fornero pensions reform that contained tough measures implicitly dictated by Brussels.
