(ANSA) - Rome, May 13 - A nurse with the NGO Emergency who has tested positive for the Ebola virus is not in critical condition, doctors at Rome's Spallanzani Institute for Infectious Diseases said Wednesday. The nurse was hospitalized Tuesday. "The patient was feverish, lucid and cooperative at the time of hospitalization," the doctors said.
Three people are being kept in precautionary quarantine in Sassari after the nurse, who is from the Sardinian city, was found to have contracted Ebola while working for an NGO in Sierra Leone.

"The clinical facility that handled the emergency linked to the Ebola virus contracted by the 37-year-old Sassari in Sierra Leone has ordered a period of quarantine for three people," said Regional Health Councillor Luigi Arru.
