(ANSA) - Bolzano, April 27 - Citizens of the northern city of Bolzano, which is located in the Alpine region of Trentino-Alto Adige, have rallied to aid refugees crowding the train station on their way to their final destinations, sources said Monday.
"A group of about 40 citizens came together in a matter of days," said artist and volunteer Armin Mutschlechner.
"They take turns coming to the station to give a hand, bring food".
Bolzano provincial authorities are currently trying to set up migrant and refugee shelters in Ferrovie dello Stato public railway buildings.
