120 mn euros for Triton, 16 for Poseidon

(ANSA) - Brussels, April 24 - EU-Italian patrol and rescue operation will have a budget of around 120 million euros a year for 2015 and 2016 after a special EU migrant summit decided to triple its cash, EU sources said Friday. The EU-Greek Poseidon will get around 16 million a year, they said. The summit was called at Italy's request after the worst-ever migrant boat disaster, in which over 700 people died off Libya last weekend.
