(ANSA) - Milan, February 18 - Milan's Expo 2015 will give the local Malpensa airport the opportunity to show its potential as a major European hub for air travel, said Lombardy governor Roberto Maroni on Wednesday.
"Malpensa has a great future as a passenger hub and we'll see this shortly with Expo. We're increasing connections, the Pedemontana motorway is already open, and everything is in place to soon make Malpensa one of the most important hubs in Europe," Maroni said.
