(ANSA) - Rome, February 12 - The average interest rate on
the Italian three-year BTP State bond reached a new low of 0.44%
at a Treasury auction on Thursday, down from 0.61% at an
equivalent sale in January. The Treasury sold 2.5 billion euros'
worth of the bonds, which will mature in January 2018. It also
sold 1.5 billion euros of 15-year bonds at 2.1%, another low,
and four billions euros of seven-year bonds at 1.23%.
