(ANSA) - Rome, January 22 - Italian retail sales increased
for the first time in seven months in November, when they
registered a 0.1% rise with respect to October, Istat said
Thursday. A 0.2% increase in food sales helped drag the figure
into positive territory, the national statistics agency said.
Istat added, however, that retail sales were down 2.3% in
November compared to the same month in 2013.
