(ANSA) - Ancona, December 16 - Two executives with
Manifattura Italiana Tabacco MIT, an Italian tobacco
manufacturer, were arrested Tuesday during a probe into
allegations of a cigarette smuggling ring, executives said.
Finance police arrested the MIT executives along with four
other people in the Italian coastal city of Ancona, following an
investigation.
Police say they uncovered a 100-million euros cigarette
smuggling ring.
