(ANSA) - Milan, November 12 - Shares in broadcaster
Mediaset, owned by former premier Silvio Berlusconi, jumped by
more than 7% in trading Wednesday morning after the company
reported a third-quarter net loss that was better than expected.
Shares were trading as high as almost three euros each after the
company said its losses in Q3 were 26.3 million euros - well
below the loss of 57.3 million euros during the same period last
year. The broadcaster said it has been cutting costs.
