(ANSA) - Rome, October 29 - Italy's health, defense and
interior ministries are working together to develop follow-up
health checks on migrants rescued at sea, Health Minister
Beatrice Lorenzin said Wednesday.
Lorenzin went on to point out that Italy has an extremely
low rate of tuberculosis, with 6.99 cases per 100,000
inhabitants as of 2012. This is will below the defined
low-prevalence level of 10 cases per 100,000, she said.
