(ANSA) - Turin, October 24 - A man has been placed under
investigation for murder after his wife, missing for months, was
found lifeless Saturday near their home in the northwestern
Italian town of Costigliole d'Asti.
Carabinieri paramilitary police notified Michele
Buoninconti of the probe at his home Friday morning, the
television programme Mattino 5 reported.
Elena Ceste, a housewife, disappeared January 24.
Her body will undergo an autopsy on Friday in Alba, a
larger town in Piedmont near Costigliole d'Asti.
The criminal probe is being handled by the Asti
prosecutor's office.
