American designer de la Renta dies aged 82

(ANSA) - Rome, October 21 - Dominican-born American fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has died aged 82, US media reported on Tuesday.
    De la Renta hit fame in the 1960s with his outfits worn by Jackie Kennedy.
    He went on to dress many other stars, such as Cameron Diaz, Nicole Kidman, Oprah Winfrey, Kristen Stewart, Penelope Cruz as well as Hillary Clinton.
    He also designed Amal Clooney's wedding dress.
    He was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.
