Putin sees old friend Berlusconi on Milan visit

(ANSA) - Milan, October 17 - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday night visited the Milan home of his old friend, former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi. The reunion was delayed by an hour due to Putin's prior meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in her hotel. Putin and Merkel were in Milan for the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and attended a meeting on the Ukrainian conflict Friday with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Italian Premier Matteo Renzi, French President Francois Hollande and British Premier David Cameron.
