(ANSA) - Naples, October 14 - A tax police colonel and a
pharmaceuticals entrepreneur were arrested Tuesday in a probe
into alleged corruption in Naples.
Finance Guard Colonel Fabrizio Giaccone and businessman
Nazario Matacchione were detained in a probe into allegedly
receiving bribes including Rolex watches for soft tax
inspections.
Finance Guard General Vito Bardi has been placed under
investigation.
In the same probe, in July, Finance Guard Colonel Fabio
Massimo Mendella was arrested for suspected irregularities in
tax checks.
