(ANSA) - Milan, October 14 - Italy has 3,300 or 2.6% of the
world's 128,000 super-rich - those with net worth of more than
$50 million - according to the latest Global Wealth Report from
Credit Suisse.
That puts it in sixth place.
Of the global megawealthy, 45,000 have at least $100
million and 4,300 some $500 million, the report said.
The numbers have tripled since 2000.
The rankings is led by the United States with 63,000
super-rich, 49% of the total, followed by Europe with 24%) and
the Asia Pacific area, including China and India, with 20%.
