(ANSA) - Rome, October 9 - Hong Kong authorities on Thursday
scrapped talks with student pro-democracy protesters scheduled
for Friday.
While some streets in Hong Kong remained closed, the
protest movement called a new rally Friday and threatened to
block more streets and buildings.
The pro-democracy parliamentary group on the Hong Kong
legislative council was readying an impeachment request for
government chief executive Chun-ying Leung.
