(ANSA) - Rome, October 7 - Online retailer Amazon is to
face a formal investigation into its Luxembourg tax regime, the
European Commission announced Tuesday.
The EC said it suspects the deal amounts to State aid and a
distortion of competition.
Amazon said it had "received no special tax treatment from
Luxembourg".
