(ANSA) - New York, October 2 - Christine Lagarde, managing
director of the International Monetary Fund, said Thursday that
"the main task" of the agency is to try to help stimulate a
stronger recovery in the global economy. At present, the
recovery is "fragile, uneven and full of risks," and at times,
disappointing, said Lagarde.
