(ANSA) - Rome, October 1 - Italy's index of manufacturing
small and medium enterprises (SMEs) crossed the 50-points mark
dividing contraction and expansion in Setember and climbed to
50.7. This was much better than the expected score of 49.5.
France's manufacturing SME index was 48.8, compared to 46.9 in
August, while Germany's stood at 49.9.
