German jobless rate rises for second straight month

(ANSA) - Berlin, September 30 - Germany's unemployment rate rose in September for the second month running, defying expectations.
    The number of jobless rose by 12,000 to a total of 2.918 billion, for an unchanged rate of 6.7".
    Economists had been expecting a fall of 2,000.
