(ANSA) - Madrid, September 19 - Catalonia President Artur
Mas congratulated Scotland on Friday for its attempt to achieve
independence, and said that despite the Scottish defeat, a
referendum "is the way" towards independence for Catalonia.
Catalonia is an autonomous community of Spain and has
announced it may seek independence through a referendum in 2014.
