Foreign ministry sets up medical fund for Ebola in Africa

Italian government puts aside 1.5 million euro for program

(ANSA) - Rome, August 29 - Italy's foreign ministry said Friday that it has set up a 1.5-million euro emergency response program to help counter the Ebola epidemic that has hit some Africa nations. The fund will help to pay for doctors, equipment and medicines coordinated by the World Health Organization to strengthen surveillance and support programs dealing with the deadly virus.
