(ANSA) - Beijing, July 29 - Dozens of people were killed
Tuesday in a "terrorist attack" on a police post and government
offices in the western Chinese region of Xinjiang, Chinese media
reported.
The region has a sizeable Muslim and Turcophone Uighuri
population.
The reports said a group of assailants armed with knives
attacked a police post and government buildings, killing dozens
of Uighuri and Han Chinese.
