(ANSA) - Milan, June 23 - A Milan judge on Monday ordered an
immediate trial for Prosecutors ask immediate trial for 8 Expo
bribery suspects for eight businessmen September 18 on charges
of offering bribes to obtain contracts for the Expo 2015 world
fair.
Best-known among the eight is Antonio Rognoni, former
manager of the regional infrastructure company Infrastrutture
Lombarde.
Rognoni was arrested in late March on charges of
criminal association, bid rigging, fraud against the regional
authorities and forgery in connection with the outsourcing of
legal consulting and contract-control services.
