(ANSA) Moscow, June 13 - Ukraine said Friday its troops re-captured the port city of Mariupol as Moscow claimed Kiev's forces had violated Russia's frontier.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko claimed the victory over Russian-backed rebels in the strategic city and said he has asked the governor of Donetsk to move his regional government temporarily to Mariupol.
The Itar-Tass news agency reported the FSB Russian secret service saying that two Ukrainian army "military vehicles" had crossed the Russian frontier.
Russian President Vladimir Putin asked the foreign ministry to demand an explanation from Kiev for the alleged violation of the Russian frontier in the Rostov region of the Don, Tass said.
