(ANSA) - Rome, June 13 - Jamaica is set to legalise
marijuana for a number of purposes.
Justice Minister Mark Golding said the drug, known to
Jamaicans as 'ganja', would be decriminalised for religious,
medicinal and scientific purposes.
Golding added the cabinet was supporting a proposal to
allow possession of up to 57 grammes (two ounces) of ganja.
Parliament is expected to OK the revision by September.
