(ANSA) - Rome, May 20 - Credit Suisse on Monday pleaded
guilty to helping thousands of US clients evade paying taxes to
the US government.
The Swiss banking giant agreed to pay a $2.6 billion fine.
US Attorney General Eric Holder said Credit Suisse helped US
"tax cheats dodge US taxes".
The Swiss said it deeply regretted the past misconduct.
