(ANSA) - Washington, April 17 - United States President
Barack Obama on Thursday approved sending "non-lethal" military
aid to Ukraine.
The aid consists of helmets, cots, water-purification
systems, tents and medicine for the Ukrainian army.
Talks have opened in Geneva between Russia, Ukraine, the EU
and US, the first since Moscow annexed Crimea.
Meanwhile on Wednesday three pro-Russian protesters were
reportedly killed in a clash in the eastern Ukraine city of
Mariupol.
