(ANSA) - Catanzaro, April 10 - An Italian diocese said
Thursday it would stand as plaintiff in the trial of a
paedophile priest accused of sexually abusing 15 boys.
Father Roberto Mastro, former parish priest at the small
town of Belcastro in Calabria, is charged with raping the boys,
all younger than 14, between 2007 and 2010.
Prosecutors last week asked for Mastro's indictment.
The diocese's request came at a preiminary hearing which
will decide if the priest will go to trial.
