Two billion euros in home financing earmarked
CDP to also buy 3 bn euros of mortgage-backed bonds

(ANSA) - Rome, November 21 - The Italian State savings and
finance arm, the Cassa dei Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), and the
national banking association ABI signed a deal Thursday that
will allow home buyers to tap into some two billion euros of
financing being set aside for real-estate purchases and for
renovation works.
The CDP also launched a program that will see purchases of
some three billion euros of bank bonds that guarantee
residential mortgages.
