(ANSA) - Rome, October 10 - Troubled Italian airline Alitalia may be salvaged by state-owned post company Poste Italiane, according to sources close to the people involved in negotiations taking place to source a financial solution to the problems facing the company, including that of ending its fuel supply on Saturday.

Poste Italiane could inject some 75 million euros into the airline through the planned 300 million euro capital increase, which would yield it a holding of between 10% and 15%.
