Centre-right coalition leads opinion poll (ANSA) - Rome, April 19 - The centre right led by ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi's People of Freedom (PdL) party is the most popular coalition in Italy with 33.8% of the vote, the SWG polling agency said Friday.

The formation was polling 33.8%, up 0.4% over April 12.

This compared to the 31% registered by the centre left, a 0.3% increase over the previous week.

However the Democratic Party (PD) of centre-left leader Pier Luigi Bersani came in as the most popular single party, polling 27% compared to the PdL's 26.8%.

Last week their positions were reversed, with the PdL polling 26.9% and the PD 26.8%. The anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (5SM) of ex comic Beppe Grillo trailed slightly in third place at 24%, the same as last week.
