tents near buildings affected by the powerful earthquakes in
Idlib, Syria, 28 February 2023. Several people continue to spend
the nights in tents erected on the streets and in public gardens
as they fear aftershocks or their homes were affected by the
earthquakes that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria on 06
February and again on 20 February. More than 46,000 people died
and thousands more were injured due to the earthquakes.
