A train on Europe's first and
only international customs railway corridor has left the port of
Trieste. The convoy arrived at the Fürnitz freight centre in
Carinthia, Austria., the Port Network Authority of the Eastern
Adriatic Sea said today. This is Europe's first transport within
an international customs rail corridor, made possible by the
signing of a protocol a year ago in Vienna, which also includes
the Italian and Austrian Customs Agencies as signatories.
