After the ban on the dinar, the
economic and social situation of the Kosovo Serbs is becoming
increasingly critical and burdensome, and Belgrade is committed
to finding alternative solutions to still guarantee the payment
of salaries and pensions, Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic,
said today.
"The situation with the dinar in Kosovo has not improved at
all despite attempts by representatives of the international
community to contribute to a solution and convince the
authorities in Pristina to change their decision," Vucic said at
a press conference. For this reason, he added, Serbia will be
forced to adopt "new decisions" in order to find "alternative
solutions" to guarantee the inflow of dinars and ensure the
payment of salaries and pensions to the Kosovo Serbs.
