According to a presidential
decree published on September 26, Ukraine's President Volodymyr
Zelensky has appointed Andriy Shevchenko, an ex-professional
footballer and manager, as an external advisor, media in Kyiv
reported. Shevchenko played for Dynamo Kyiv, A.C. Milan, and
Chelsea during his football career. He won the UEFA Champions
League with A.C. Milan in 2003 and was named the Ballon d'Or,
football's most prestigious individual award, in 2004. He is
regarded as one of the greatest Ukrainian football players of
all time.
