(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 30 - Since the first case was reported
in late May, the National Institute of Public Health has
confirmed 35 cases of monkeypox in Slovenia, according to the
Slovenian news agency STA. According to the Institute's data,
more than one-third of the cases were infected abroad,
specifically in Spain, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a
good third were infected in Slovenia, with the source of the
remaining cases unknown, according to STA. According to the
latest WHO data, more than 18,000 cases of infection and five
deaths have been confirmed in 78 countries worldwide. (ANSA).
