Daily newspapers reported on devastating wildfires in Kras

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUL 21 - The wildfires that raged in the
Slovenian Kras and in nearby Italy yesterday hit the headlines
of major newspapers published this morning in Slovenia. "Biggest
fire in Slovenia's history," the daily Delo reported, informing
about the fires near Trieste and in the Goriska areas of the
Kras, the news agency STA summarised today. "People fleeing
flames," the headline of the Dnevnik, while the Vecer reported
that a thousand Slovenian firefighters were battling flames in
the Kras as several hundred residents had to be evacuated and
international assistance sought. (ANSA).
