(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The construction of the high-speed railway line between Belgrade and Budapest, the opening of new border crossings between Serbia and Hungary to facilitate the free movement of people living close to the border, and the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries were the key themes of a meeting which took place Tuesday between Serbia deputy prime minister and interior minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and Hungary's foreign minister Peter Szijiarto.

The meeting, Serbia's Interior Ministry reported, was held in Minsk on the sidelines of a summit organised by the Central European Initiative (CEI) which is underway in the Belarusian capital city. The new high-speed railway lines, both ministers underlined, will favour the exchanges of goods and services, and give impetus to economic and commercial collaboration between Serbia and Hungary. Szijiiarto praised Serbia's efforts to move forward along its path towards the EU, reaffirming Hungary's full support for Serbia's European integration process. (ANSA).
