Today the Prosecutor's Office of
Bosnia-Herzegovina issued arrest warrants for seven people
involved in issuing fake medical degrees, which were used in
various countries, including Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Serbia
and Libya.
According to investigators, the organiser of these illegal
activities is Salvatore Messina, an Italian citizen who is
currently untraceable. The restrictive measures came after a
large operation conducted since the early hours of this morning
in various Bosnian locations by the Special Police Force for the
fight against corruption and organised crime. The fake degrees
were allegedly obtained at an supposedly active international
university operating in Gorazde.
