Covid: 40 km queue of trucks between Brixen and Brenner

Covid-Test for truckers at Brenner

15 February, 13:06
(ANSA) - BOLZANO/BOZEN, 15 FEB - The situation on the border with Austria due to the new covid regulations is worsening.

There is a 40 km queue of heavy vehicles between Brixen and Brenner on the northbound Brenner motorway. Those traveling to Germany or to a destination which can be reached passing through Germany, when entering Tyrol, not only at the Brenner Pass but also at the Resia Pass and the San Candido Pass, must show a negative swab test, either PRC or antigenic, carried out in the previous 48 hours.

For this reason, test stations have been set up. Checks are carried out along the A22 Brenner motorway in Verona and Affi to avoid traffic congestion. In the absence of a swab test, all the vehicles will be diverted to the A4 and the A23 to enter Austria through the Tarvisio pass, the Province of Bolzano/Bozen traffic center informed. (ANSA).
