PM Borissov changed his mind, three ministers remain in office

17 July, 18:36
(ANSA) - SOFIA, 17 LUG - "There will be no early elections, the government will complete its mandate until the spring of 2021 when general election will take place in Bulgaria," said Bulgarian deputy speaker president of parliament Valeri Simeonov amid mass protests against the government across the country, following consultations between the parties of the ruling coalition.

Simeonov is also the leader of the nationalist party National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB), the coalition partner of the conservative party GERB led by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

Simeonov added that the coalition is committed to overcoming the no-confidence vote called by the Socialists (opposition), and scheduled for next week.

Borissov changed his mind, announcing that the three ministers of finance, interior and economy, whom he had asked to resign two days ago, remain in office. "Once we have overcome the vote of no confidence, there will be significant reshuffles in the government," said the premier. (ANSA).
