(ANSA) - BOLZANO/BOZEN, MAY 28 - "Italy is still a hotbed of coronavirus, although in some regions the situation has improved and the commitment is great," said Austria's health minister, Rudolf Anschober, in an interview with the Oberoesterreichischen Nachrichten daily newspaper. "I am a supporter of freedom of movement, but with Italy, we still have to be cautious," added the minister, citing 382 Covid cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Italy against 55 in Croatia and 70 in Slovenia. The minister underlined that for now, the negative test as an admission requirement to enter Austria remains in force. Anschober does not fear diplomatic discontent. "Slovenia indeed claims to have positive data, but it is also true that it is easy to get to Italy from Slovenia," the minister said. (ANSA).
