Turkey: Austria, negotiations should be canceled
Membership process already is frozen, let's take a formal step

(ANSA) - LUXEMBOURG, OCTOBER 14 - "Ironically, we are
discussing sanctions and measures such as the arms embargo
against a country that is formally engaged in the accession
dialogue with the EU. As Austrians, we think that these
accession negotiations, which we have frozen in the last two or
three years, thanks to our government, should be now formally
canceled". That is what Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander
Schallenberg said arriving at the EU Council in Luxembourg
(ANSA).
