(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 18 SEP - More than 50,000 Hungarian families have requested some kind of financial assistance under a government plan launched in July to support families and natality, the Hungarian government announced. The State secretary for Youth and Family Affairs, Katalin Novak, said that more than 32,000 applied for state-subsidised prenatal baby support loans, while 22,000 couple had already signed the loan contracts, with more than 650 million euro paid to applicants. Another 13,000 families have applied for grants to buy a new bigger car. Novak said that a family can receive up to 7,500 euro assistance for acquiring a 7-seat vehicle. Novak recalled that under the program families can deduct a significant amount of money from the family debt after the birth of their children.
