(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APRIL 19 - The unemployment rate in
Romania decreased to 4.2% in 2018 from 4.9% recorded in 2017,
data recently made public by the Romanian National Institute of
Statistics (Insse) show.
Unemployment in Romania currently affects more graduates of
low (5.8% rate) and medium level of education (4.3%), while the
unemployment rate for higher education graduates was only 2.1%
in 2018, Insse said.
In 2018, the Statistical Institute added, the employment rate
for the population aged 20-64 was 69.9%, only 0.1 percentage
points less than the national target of 70% established in the
context of the Strategy Europe 2020. (ANSA).
