Hungary: ING, wage growth accelerates in April
Better results than previous market expectations

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The increase of wage accelerated in
Hungary in April, according the estimates from the economic and
financial analysis sector of ING.
ING said that the average gross wage in Hungary increased by
12.6% in April year on year, "which exceeded the 10.5% YoY
market expectations."
The wages increased by 16.6% year on year in the public
sector and by 11.1% year-on-year in the business sector.
In a statement, ING noted that "regarding the main drivers behind the double-digit wage growth, we see no change at all, as the labour shortage, ongoing wage settlements in the public sector and rise of minimum wages still play a significant role." (ANSA).
