20 February, 19:24
(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, 20 FEB - Romania is ready to carry out "together with the EU", "all possible efforts to complete the approval of the multiannual financial framework by the end of the Romanian presidency", the newly-appointed Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila announced today in Brussels after the meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, on her first official visit outside the country.

During the Romanian presidency semester, starting in January 2019, Bucharest and Brussels will have to face together "the challenges on Brexit and the multiannual financial framework": "we both agree that the European budget has to grow, but without jeopardizing agricultural and cohesion policies ", Dancila stressed.

"A good transparent and correct collaboration" with the EU "will be an added value" for Bucharest, the Romanian prime minister pointed out, stating that she "agreed to illustrate Romania's plans for the EU future to the European Parliament". (ANSA).
