Poland, residents doctors continue hunger strike

They demand to increase health financing

(ANSA) - Katowice, Poland - Medicine students carry a placard 'Let us treat in Poland' as they protest to support striking resident doctors under the slogan 'Students' Voice Supports Residents' at the City Hall. About 26 resident doctors are on a hunger strike from 02 October 2017.

Residents doctors continue hunger strike as they demand an increase in health financing to 6.8 percent of GDP in next three years and up to nine percent in the next ten years, reduce bureaucracy, shorten queues, increase the number of medical workers, improve working conditions and increase salaries.
